Banana Cake
It was a rainy Saturday morning and we had very ripe bananas. So we decided to bake a cake!

Gâteau à la banane
4 bananas, very ripe
2 eggs
4 oz yogurt (1/2 cup)
60g butter (4 Tablespoons)
50g sugar, scant (1/4 cup)
dash of cinnamon
150g flour (1 1/4 cup)
3g baking soda (1/2 teaspoon)
125g chopped walnuts (1/4 cup)
Mash bananas with a fork. Add eggs, sugar, and melted butter. Mix together until well incorporated. Measure out flour, baking soda, and cinnamon is a separate bowl. Add to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts. Transfer to a round cake pan (or muffin tin).
Bake at 180C for 30-35 min or until golden brown.

This cake is not overly sweet and can be enjoyed by all ages, for breakfast or as a treat. To make it a little sweeter, top with a glaze of maple syrup or drizzle with melted chocolate.

We made one big cake and a few muffins topped with sprinkles. This was a super easy baking project to do together and perfect for a rainy weekend.
